The HD53R is a state of the art headphone amplifier                 TheHD53R is a state of the art headphone amplifier including a small highquality power amplifier for loudspeakers. The unique LEF amplifiertechnology for the driver stage provides you today's best possiblesound quality. All amplifier sections run without overall negativefeedback. So no dynamic distortions are created by the amplifier.        Select matching gain   You can select an input gain from -12dB, 0dB and +6dB to optimize the performance of your headphones and speakers.        Hookups to input/output jacks               For input jacks, the HD53R features XLR(balanced) jack in addition tothe regular RCA(unbalanced) jack so you can enjoy the advantages of ahigh-definition connection with even more sophisticated audio equipmentsuch as our CD3300 player, which has balanced outputs. Also, thetwo-channel headphone outputs are compatible with 3.5mm and 6.3mm plugsso up to two sets can be connected simultaneously.                          *We also have HD53R Ver.8.0, which is the upgrade version of HD53R. *HD53R can be upgraded to Ver.8.0 by replacing the AMP module with themost advanced module. With 10W/channel speaker out, it's more like an int amp
I tried this one in our local dealer shop (with a pair of ER4P I happened to brought with me), but I have not sufficient information to judge upon this machine. It is pretty versatile for sure, the dealer also connected it to a pair of small full-range speaker, and it was impressive! I had great interest in this one.

是款不错的耳房，有升级版本Ver.8

我有Ver.8，平衡，厚声底，过份直白，这缺点要用线材调教，推力是日本耳放最大，最难推的K340，DF等也很轻松，我现在是接上电脑的9632加解码推KK还有点动态，还可推多煤体小音箱

Agreed, great for PC multimedia use. That's why I intended to get one. Though I don't have KK (I thought about KK immediately when I saw the 10W output)
