LIMITED WARRANTY: Xin Technologies, Inc. (XTI) warrants
the product enclosed herein to be free of defects for a period
of Ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. In the event of
a defect in material or workmanship during the warranty period,
XTI, at its discretion, will repair or replace the defective
product when the owner returns the defective product to XTI.
The remedy for this breach of warranty is limited to servicing
or replacement only and shall not cover any other damages,
including but not limited to the loss of profit, special incidental,
consequential, and other similar claims. In no event will
XTI be liable for any amount greater than the currently suggested
retail price.
The warranty does not cover:
1) Damage occurring during shipping of the product to XTI
for repair.
2) Damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, misuse,
improper connections, improper operation or failure to
follow instructions contained in this manual.
3) Damage caused by act of God, including without limitation,
earthquake, fire, flood, storms or other acts of nature.
4) Service performed by an unauthorized person, company
or association.
5) Any product which has been altered or modified without
XTI’s consent.
6) Any product which has had the serial number defaced,
altered or removed.
You are responsible for delivery of the product to XTI for warranty
service. During the warranty period, XTI will, at its option,
repair or replace the product with a new or reconditioned
product without charge. For such service, XTI will pay return
shipping charges. You should provide a detailed description
of the problem(s) for which service is required. You must supply
proof of purchase of the product. You must package the
product securely to avoid damage during shipment. XTI Service

BREAK-IN: The amplifier may need some break-in time before
optimal sound is achieved. This is a result of some electronic
components needing power cycling before they stabilize.
WARNING: Listening to a personal audio device through the
SuperDual can inhibit your ability to hear other sounds and
noises. Use extreme caution while listening and concurrently
partaking in any other activities. Do not operate motorized vehicles
or equipment of any kind while listening. Listening to a
personal audio device through the SuperDual can inhibit your
ability to hear fire alarms, smoke detector alarms, and many
other warning devices. It may also inhibit your ability to hear
motor vehicles as well as other hazards. Additionally, prolonged
listening to any audio device at high sound levels can cause
permanent damage to your hearing. Xin Technologies is not
responsible for injuries of any kind that result from the use of
the SuperDual or any of its products including ancillary injuries,
or harm to others, that occur from inhibited hearing.

Congratulations. You have purchased the world’s premier amplifier
for personal audio devices. The XTI SuperDual has been
designed to maximize your listening pleasure and can be used
with most personal audio devices. The XTI SuperDual converts
the sound from your personal audio device into high fidelity
music appreciated by the world’s most discriminating audiophiles.
The XTI SuperDual has been designed by Dr. Xin Feng,
a world renowned scientist who developed China’s first digital

The package includes:
• XTI SuperDual amp.
• 1 stereo interconnect mini-to-mini cable.
• AC adapter/charger.*
* Note: non-U.S. units are shipped without an AC adapter/charger which
does not work outside of the U.S. Any AC adapter/charger that has an
actual 12-15V output can be used. For unregulated AC adapters, 6V is
usually adequate as the actual output is about 12V. There is no requirement
on current rating, the DC plug is 3.5mm/1.3mm and polarity is positive
on the inside connector.
Compatibility
One of the many unique features of the XTI SuperDual is that it
was designed to work with virtually any personal audio device
that uses a standard 3.5 mm headphone or line-out jack. Furthermore,
the XTI SuperDual can be used with virtually any
type and brand of headphones that use a 3.5 mm headphone
jack. The instructions below will provide additional detail on the
XTI SuperDual settings for various types of headphones.
Connections
A connector wire with two 3.5 mm stereo headphone jacks has
been included with the XTI SuperDual. One end of this wire is
connected to the personal audio device’s output jack and the
other end connects into the left side of the XTI SuperDual at
the input jack denoted as 1 in the figure. Your headphone’s
3.5 mm jack is inserted into the output jack on right side of the
XTI SuperDual denoted as 9 in the figure.
Charging
The XTI SuperDual includes a rechargeable 9V battery. The amp
is designed to provide full sound quality up until very near the
time the battery loses its charge. When the charge is depleted,
the LED indicator light 7 will go out. For recharging, the plug
end of enclosed charger is plugged into any 110V 60 Hz power
receptacle and the wire end is connected into the charge port 8
on the right side of the XTI SuperDual. In normal use,
the rechargeable battery allows for approximately 15 hours of
continuous use between charges. A full charge takes 6-8 hours.
The SuperDual can be safely charged overnight. However, it
should not be charged continuously for 16 hours or longer.
Operation
Move the power switch 3 to the right-hand “On” position. The
LED indicator light 7 will come on. The “0” position indicates
“Off” and the “1” position indicates “On” here, as well as for the
three feature switches described below. The volume on your
personal audio device should be set approximately half way to
minimize distortion. The volume is controlled by moving the
spring-loaded volume switch 2 to the right to increase audio
volume and to the left to decrease audio volume.
Features
X-Feed 4 – this controls Xin Technologies’ custom crossfeed
circuitry. When you listen to home stereo speakers, the Left
and Right channels are naturally “mixed” in the air before
they reach your ears. Headphones allow for total separation
of the channels, and some headphone listeners are dissatisfied
with the lack of channel mixing. A solution for this is to
artificially mix a bit of the Left and Right channels in the headphone
amplifier – referred to as crossfeed (X-Feed). XinFeed
is Xin’s implementation of crossfeed. It is passive and efficient,
and it has the least tonal effect on the original sound.
Furthermore, you can entirely bypass XinFeed (set to “0”)
when you want the purest, untouched sound. The time to
enable XinFeed/Crossfeed (set to “1”) depends on the individual,
the music type, and the headphones. Some people
prefer crossfeed while others cannot sense the difference.
The effect is more audible with old recordings (which usually
have no mix at all), e.g. the Beatles. Also, people are more
likely to use X-Feed with earbuds, canal, or close-air phones
than with open-air headphones, because the latter are less
isolated and separated.
Bass Boost 5 – this switch increases bass by 10 db down
to 20 Hz. The bass boost circuit in the SuperDual is passive
and it is not in the main signal path, so that the effects on
sound quality are minimal.
Output Impedance 6 –when the impedance switch is enabled
(set to “1”), a resistance of 75 ohms is added to the
output of each channel to better match some headphones
and/or to reduce the impact of long headphone cords.
