Exactly, ER4B sounds closest to a good speaker system -- ultimately live music. The thing is that it only "sounds like", not "feels like" -- you know, I'm talking about bass response. Of course, even speaker systems sometimes add more bass to emulate live music. Bass is always the problem. And there's the problem of soundstage which, is not only an acoustic phenomenon and has much to do with our imagination.
